I did not think IE was running, but a look in the Processes tab of Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) indicated that I was indeed running several iexplore.exe processes. But the second time, it advised me to close Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. If so, it did not do anything the first time.
